Perfect Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Jack's Place is so cozy and comfortable! Beds and pillows are super comfy, as well. Incredibly clean throughout. Definitely going back! Surrounding area beautiful and hike at Crabtree Falls is a must.
Absolutely the best place to disconnect and reconnect with what really matters! So beautiful and Beth Anne is so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend making this your next getaway spot. I'll be back!
Beth Anne is always a wonderful hostess. We've stayed in 3 of the 5 available cabins at Crabtree and love every one of them! The new Wi-Fi/Direct TV lounge is so nice, although we didn't use much just because our point of going to Crabtree is to disconnect from the "busy, social" world. I'm not sure how many times we have stayed there, but there are so many reasons we continue to make this our "go-to" place in the mountains. Centrally located to lots of cool things.....we hike Crabtree Falls each time we go, and its beauty continues to amaze us each time. Also, there are several wineries and breweries all along one route that we love! Thanks again Beth Anne, and we will see you guys soon!
We absolutely loved the Cabins at Crabtree Falls! Beth Ann, the caretaker, was a dream to work with. She was immediately responsive and accommodating. We stayed in Richard’s Retreat and it was well appointed and beautiful. The pictures don’t do justice to the cabin and property. It was so nice to be in the mountains, but a reasonable drive from skiing, breweries, and wineries. We can’t wait for our next trip to The Cabins at Crabtree Falls!
Our third time staying at the Cabins at Crabtree Falls, we decided to try out Jack's Place (we've stayed in Annie's, Barb's). The cabin is clean and the kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Mornings were spent sitting on the porch swing enjoying coffee and evenings at the fire pit. As stated on the website, the loft stair/ladder is not suitable for the elderly or young, but our daughter and niece had no problem enjoying their own spaces.
The perfect touch was Beth Anne's just-out-of-oven welcome cookies on our first night. As suggested we scheduled a very fun 2-hour trail ride with Kenton of Appalachian Horse Adventures. After checking out on our last day, we headed out to Crabtree Falls. I am blown away that Beth Anne came to our rescue when we had car troubles—even though we had checked out hours earlier. Proof that it isn't just "for the money"; but a true love of what she does. We can't thank her enough. We will be back. Maybe we'll try out Richard's Place next?
What can I say about the Cabins that hasn't been said already? It was an amazing weekend getaway with my partner. DC life can be hectic and the Cabins were a perfect escape. BethAnn was always accessible and a wealth of knowledge from where to get the best BBQ to fun and unique spots to visit. We can't wait to visit again!
