A Letter From the Owners

Welcome to The Cabins at Crabtree Falls!

Hello!  I'm Beth Anne Norman, the general manager of The Cabins and daughter of the owners of The Cabins at Crabtree Falls.  When I was growing up, my grandmother was the owner and operator of The Cabins at Crabtree Falls.  Since my grandmother had these cabins, I grew up with the luxury of getting away from the hustle, bustle and stress of everyday life to come up to Grandma's house up in the mountains.  These mountains are a freeing, relaxing and beautiful place that touches the hearts of all who visit.

As a child, I would run around these woods looking for treasures, or go down to the river and jump from rock to rock.  I loved to slide down the mossy rock into the water at the North Fork swimming hole.  I loved go to the creek in our woods to catch salamanders.  The hike up the falls was always one of the best activities, and I would always search for the perfect walking stick and hide in the "bear cave" until I could jump out and scare whoever I was with!  My nights in these mountains were filled with sitting on the front porch swing listening to Grandma tell stores about the friendly ghost at Annie's or sitting out back by her fire pit cooking s'mores under starry skies.

When I got older, my grandmother decided it was time to give up her cabins and move to the beach.  My father bought the cabins in 2000 and has put his heart and soul into these cabins.  We now have the three original cabins my grandmother rented, Tony's Place, Annie's Cabin and Jack's Place, as well as my grandmother's house, Barb's House, and our newest addition, Richard's Retreat.

My family and I still frequent the cabins.  I will often drive up for a quick get away or for some quality time with friends.  In such a busy world, sometimes we need to get away from cell service, television... the hustle and bustle.  These mountains are my safe haven. I love to come here and stand on the mountain, to really remember what a wonderful world we are so blessed to live in!

Each of these cabins holds hundreds of heart-warming memories for me, my family and friends.  I am so lucky to have been able to have experienced these mountains, but this place is too wonderful to keep a secret!  My family and I would love to share this mountain and these cabins with you, so that you and yours can form wonderful memories of your own.  Come on in and take a look at The Cabins at Crabtree Falls!

Beth Anne is always a wonderful hostess. We've stayed in 3 of the 5 available cabins at Crabtree and love every one of them! The new Wi-Fi/Direct TV lounge is so nice, although we didn't use much just because our point of going to Crabtree is to disconnect from the "busy, social" world. I'm not sure how many times we have stayed there, but there's so many reasons we continue to make this our "go-to" place in the mountains. Centrally located to lots of cool things.....we hike Crabtree Falls each time we go, and it's beauty continues to amaze us each time. Also, there are several wineries and breweries all along one route that we love! Thanks again Beth Anne, and we will see you guys soon! -Theresa M. via TripAdvisor
