Lodge Guidelines

Please treat our home as you would treat your own. We love to open our lodge to guests so others may create wonderful memories here as we have. However, if the lodge becomes damaged, it hinders our ability to share it with other guests. Please tidy up prior to your departure by washing all dishes and cooking utensils. Our housekeeper comes by and changes the beds and freshens between each reservation, but please feel free to help by placing the used towels in the bathtub and please leave beds that were slept in unmade. There is no need to pull linens.

Please remember there is NO SMOKING inside the lodge. Pets are allowed for an additional $100 per night (for pets, we will require a credit card to keep on file). We also request you please be mindful of neighbors and keep the noise to a minimum after 9:00 PM.

Firewood is available for sale on site or guests may bring their own firewood that has been obtained from Virginia. We kindly request no out-of-state firewood on site. Again, for purchase of firewood we will require a card to be kept on file.

Most importantly — enjoy yourself! There are so many wonderful options for how to spend your time here. Please take every opportunity to explore this beautiful area and all it has to offer!

Additional Requests

Please leave the bed unmade and do not pull sheets — our housekeepers will take care of this for you. Please do a basic tidy-up of the rental, being sure to clean any cooking items before replacing them. Please leave all used bathroom linens on the floor in the bathroom. Please remove trash and place inside the outdoor bin. Door may be left unlocked and keys may be left where you found them.

Puppy Package 🐾

We’re delighted to welcome your furry family members to The Pinnacle Ridge Lodge! Your nightly $100 dog fee includes our Pup Package, designed to make your pet feel right at home.

Cozy Cabin Comforts

• One or two plush, washable dog beds in rustic lodge style (based on number of dogs)

• Paw print throw blanket(s) for cuddling by the fire

Dining in Style

• A set (or two) of double stainless-steel food and water bowls in a wooden engraved “The Retreat at Crabtree Falls” tray with floor protectors

• Collapsible travel bowls for hikes along the Tye River or Crabtree Falls Trail

Local Goodies

• A small pack of locally baked dog treats

• A custom “Retreat Pup” bandana in mountain colors

Adventure Essentials

• Biodegradable waste bag rolls and a mini leash clip holder

Please specify the number of dogs when booking so we can personalize your Pup Package. There is a two-dog maximum, and no other pets are allowed.

Cancellation Policy

Payments are 100% refundable up until 21 days prior to your scheduled stay.
Cancellations with 14-21 days’ notice will receive a 50% refund.
No shows or cancellations within 14 days prior to your stay will result in 0% refund.
